Terms of Service

Last updated October 16, 2026

The rules for using Waypost as a guest or a host.

1. Who we are

Waypost is an online service, based in Alberta, Canada, that lets short-term rental hosts offer add-ons (equipment, food, activities and services) to their guests. Waypost is not a party to the stay booked on Airbnb or any other platform and is not the provider of any add-on.

2. Accepting these terms

By using Waypost you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and, when you reserve an add-on, the Rental, Damage & Safety Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

3. Guests

You may access a stay using a link or confirmation code from your host. You must be at least 18 years old and the person named on the reservation, or authorized by them.

Reservations are requests until the host confirms them and payment is completed through Airbnb or as the host directs. Prices shown before confirmation are estimates; the final amount, including GST/HST/PST, is calculated when you reserve.

4. Hosts

Hosts must also accept the Host Agreement. Hosts are solely responsible for their listings, pricing, taxes, permits, insurance, food safety, equipment condition and the delivery of every add-on.

5. Payments

Waypost does not currently collect guest payments. Hosts request payment through Airbnb's payment request tools or another method they disclose. Refunds and disputes are handled between guest and host under the host's policy and Airbnb's terms.

6. Cancellations

Cancellation terms are set by each host and shown before you reserve. If a stay is cancelled, related add-on reservations may be cancelled automatically.

7. Acceptable use

You may not misuse the service, attempt to access stays that are not yours, guess confirmation codes, scrape data, interfere with security, or post unlawful content. We may limit or end access for misuse.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, Waypost makes no warranty about any add-on, host, guest or property, and is not responsible for injury, loss or damage arising from add-ons provided by hosts.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Waypost's total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of CAD $100 or the platform fees Waypost received in connection with the reservation at issue. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.

10. Indemnity

Hosts agree to indemnify Waypost against claims arising from their add-ons, properties or breach of these Terms.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes are announced on this site or by email to hosts at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Disputes are resolved in the courts of Alberta, unless your local consumer law says otherwise.
