Host Agreement
Last updated October 16, 2026
Responsibilities, fees and obligations for hosts listing add-ons.
1. Your listing
You confirm you have the right to offer every add-on, that descriptions and photos are accurate, and that prices include all mandatory charges other than taxes shown separately.
2. Legal compliance
You are responsible for business licences, municipal permits, food handling permits (for example Alberta Health Services requirements for food sold to the public), alcohol rules (do not sell alcohol without an AGLC licence), fire bans, park regulations and equipment safety standards.
3. Insurance
You must hold commercial general liability insurance that covers the add-ons you offer. Airbnb's host protections may not cover add-ons sold outside Airbnb.
4. Taxes
You are responsible for registering for, charging and remitting GST/HST and PST where required. Waypost calculates taxes from your province setting as a convenience only.
5. Payments through Airbnb
You request payment through Airbnb's tools in line with Airbnb's terms, or another method you disclose to guests. You must not ask guests to pay in a way that violates Airbnb's policies.
6. Safety and condition
Inspect equipment before each rental, provide instructions and safety gear (such as life jackets and helmets), maintain records, and remove unsafe items. Your waiver text must be accurate and lawful.
7. Platform fee
Waypost may charge a platform fee shown in your settings. Fee changes are notified at least 30 days in advance.
8. Guest data
Use guest information only to fulfil reservations, keep it secure, and do not use it for marketing without consent compliant with CASL.
9. Indemnity and termination
You indemnify Waypost for claims arising from your add-ons and property. Either party may end this agreement at any time; you remain responsible for confirmed reservations.
