Rental, Damage & Safety Terms

Fine print guests accept when signing for equipment, food, activities and services.
1. Assumption of risk
Outdoor equipment, watercraft, bikes, fire pits, hot tubs, saunas, guided activities and similar add-ons involve inherent risks, including serious injury or death, caused by weather, terrain, water, wildlife, fire, equipment failure or your own actions. You voluntarily accept these risks.
2. Your responsibilities
Follow all host instructions, posted rules and laws; use safety equipment provided (for example life jackets and helmets); do not use equipment while impaired by alcohol or drugs; supervise minors at all times; respect fire bans; stay within your ability.
3. Inspection
Inspect each item before use and tell the host immediately about any defect. Do not use unsafe equipment.
4. Damage, loss and late return
You are responsible for loss, theft or damage beyond normal wear while items are in your care. The host may charge the reasonable repair or replacement cost and late-return fees through Airbnb's resolution tools, after showing evidence such as photos.
5. Food and beverages
Tell the host about allergies or dietary needs before reserving. Food is prepared by the host or their supplier, not Waypost. Follow storage and cooking instructions. Alcohol is only provided by licensed hosts to guests of legal drinking age (18 in Alberta).
6. Services and activities
Activities run by hosts or third-party guides may have age, health or weather requirements and may be cancelled for safety reasons.
7. Release
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release Waypost from claims arising from your use of add-ons. Waypost does not provide, inspect or operate any add-on. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, such as liability for gross negligence.
8. Electronic signature
Typing your full name and checking the agreement box is your electronic signature under Alberta's Electronic Transactions Act and has the same effect as a handwritten signature. We record the text you agreed to and the time.
